Compromised Launch: 9 October 2011
Mural of Bobby Sands MP, Falls Road, Belfast

I have decided to publish Compromised on my birthday, 9 October 2011 - it’s a little self-indulgent I know but it’s a good a date as any I guess...

Publishing Compromised has been at the top of my bucket list for quite some time now so it is with some pleasure and satisfaction that I can record that in less than a month it will be available as an eBook.

Why the picture of Bobby Sands? You’re just going to have to read Compromised to find out...

Compromised - Smashwords & Amazon - 9 October 2011

I want to use the eBook version of Compromised to support Help for Heroes - Amazon currently insist that any new eBooks they publish have a minimum price of $0.99 which is a bummer (it will convert to £s according to today’s currency rates on - about £0.88.)

On the bright side Smashwords (they act as an eBook gateway to Apple and Sony amongst others) have agreed to publish my novel for free.

I’ve been in contact with Amazon and I hope that they will price match Smashwords in the coming weeks.  Rest assured if you download from Amazon any royalties I receive will all be donated to Help for Heroes.

Army Puma at RUC Crossmaglen - one of the settings for Compromised Compromised - Out Now - Free Download

Compromised is now available to download - as well as eBook readers such as Kindle  or Tablets it looks great on the iPhone and on PCs the Adobe PDF format is very easy on the eye too - if you get any problems downloading my novel let me know and I’ll do what I can to help.

I hope you enjoy my book - please let me know what you think and if you have the time to leave a review on Smashwords and Amazon I would really appreciate that too - and please don’t forget Help for Heroes.

It seems the right time to thank  my friends and family for their support - you know who you are.  Thanks for your patience and encouragement.

Compromised - The Global Release

Compromised is now available globally and has been published by both Amazon and Smashwords - my novel is now being distributed by the Amazon Kindle Store, Smashwords, iTunes, Sony and Barnes & Noble: and the great news is that all of the distributors have agreed to host Compromised for free: all downloads of my book are for free and I ask you again to consider a voluntary donation to the charity I am supporting with the eBook version of Compromised, Help for Heroes.

Download my book - enjoy it - and please make a donation to support the men and women of our Armed Forces services who have given so much to their country

The Provisional Irish Republican Army Compromised is Officially Amazon Kindle’s #1 Bestseller

During the last few weeks I have watched with complete awe and humility as my novel Compromised has risen through the Amazon free eBook Top 100 chart - today Compromised became the current Number 1 best selling free eBook on Amazon with over 13,000 copies of my book downloaded from Amazon this month alone.

Please remember that the eBook version of Compromised is free and I ask you again to please consider a voluntary donation to my charity of choice, Help for Heroes.

Finally a sincere thank you to readers who have taken the time to review my novel on Amazon - again I am truly humbled by your kind comments and very happy that you have enjoyed my work and rate it so highly.  Thank you so much.

Compromised: Press Release & Chart Update

I was interviewed by the Gloucestershire Echo this week - the full article can also be found on their web site here.

Thanks for all of the recent messages of support from my readers and I will be responding to these personally - and some of you have taken the time to review Compromised on Amazon for which I’m very grateful - it really does make my day when readers tell me that they've enjoyed my work.

Compromised remains top of the Amazon free eBook Top 100 Chart and also currently features in the Top 10 list of Amazon overall best selling eBooks (source: in association with Amazon.)

So far Compromised has been downloaded by an amazing 25,000 readers in the UK and has started to generate interest in the US this week with over 2,000 downloads so far from the American web site.

I never dreamt that my novel would be so widely read and so well received: thank you so much.  But please, if you can, join me in supporting Help for Heroes - the eBook of Compromised remains free to download - I hope you will enjoy my work and if you can please give something to help those in our Armed Forces who have given so much for us.

Compromised - Supporting Help for Heroes

This weekend Amazon ended their price match of Compromised and they are currently charging £0.86 for each download of my novel as a discounted rate - I wanted to record here that any profit from royalties that I receive will be passed on to Help for Heroes.

I will also be asking an accountant to audit my books with a view to publicly verifying that all and any profits from the eBook of Compromised have been passed on to Help for Heroes.

As it stands £0.86 is the lowest price that Amazon will allow me to set for Compromised - I hope that they will price match the novel again as I personally feel that each reader should be given the opportunity to make a voluntary donation to Help for Heroes rather than pay for Compromised.

Compromised is a Mail on Sunday Top 10 Read!

When Amazon briefly ended their price match of Compromised earlier this month and charged £0.86 this thankfully only lasted for a few days - one of the unexpected side effects was the eBook featured (due to the paid downloads) in the Mail on Sunday’s Top Ten lists for eBooks: coming in at Number 4...

As it stands Compromised has been downloaded 37,000 times through Amazon Kindle alone - the fact that Amazon briefly charged for my work simply meant that it jiggled between the Amazon free and paid eBook charts, resulting in some national exposure - for which I’m thankful.

I’m also grateful to Colin who spotted this in the Mail and letting me know, good man that you are!
